As you already know Vimessa is a software company but yet we have a lot of opinions and plans for print marketing once the Essa launch is live. Gone are the days of walking into a printer’s and asking for 1,000 copies of a grey grim leaflet to be handed out to everyone in your area, this is not targeted and is not the way to do business nowadays, marketing/print or anything!
The distribution team over at Leaflet Go had a great article on the politics of leaflet delivery. It talked about the politics and advice needed for a successful print marketing campaign.
There is also a lot of research talking about how print marketing can be beneficial to your social media and other marketing channels, so it is not directly proportional to how many people call up and buy your product from seeing your leaflet or flyer.
Print marketing is particular in as much as it has been decreasing in recent years, and although most people do say this is simply due to the economy and the rise in the digital age (everything is promoted online.) Which is true to a certain extend. Search engine optimisation, pay per click, adwords, and other online marketing strategies are extremely effective and can be tracked more easily than a print campaign. But even the government of the US uses print marketing as a foundation for their advertising. I think if they do it, we should also be doing it!
